Woke and had a large soy latte with a vegetarian breakfast (tomato, hash brown, mushroom, spinach, two eggs).

Then had a vegetarian panini and another soy latte.

On the drive home from Sandy Point I ate a falafel salad thing, another soy latte and pana chocolate.

Got home and had a protein shake immediately. Then ate small serve of Greg’s Veggie stew with quinoa to help clean myself out.

About to eat Greg’s porridge before having an early night’s sleep.

Made a random decision and drove down to Sandy Point and went kiting for the afternoon (only did an 1 hours session as I was quite wrecked).

Ate a version of Greg’s salad (lentils, kidney beans, chickpeas, tomato, avocado, quinoa, tempeh) on my drive down.

Then after kiting had Greg’s porridge that I brought with me.

For dinner I ate a vegetarian panini and 1 and a half large vegetarian pizzas.

Not much to say other than some good times with the crew down in Yanakie. Oh, I slept the night in my car, wasn’t too bad.

Wake and bake (I wish). That would give me something different to do.

    Daily Morning Routine (minus meditation).

    Protein shake. Work time!

Ate a bunch of almonds and a few brazil nuts. Then made up Greg’s Salad with chickpeas, lentils, red kidney beans, tomato, cucumber, 120g tempeh and nutritional yeast. Full!

Decided to go kiting today. Got down there around 5PM. Had a good little session, but the wind was a bit up and down. Did my first back roll, down loops and toe side down loops. Also smashed my left leg on the board (it’s going to hurt tomorrow). Only two more weeks to go until I’m back to intermittent fasting. This should speed up my healing across my body and get rid of the constant full feeling.

Will do Workout B tomorrow (probably should have been resting today, but hey the wind was up and won’t be around over the weekend).

After getting back from kiting, had a nice big protein shake with a big scoop of l-glutamine and creatine. Will do another creatine hit before bed.

Dinner was Greg’s Veggie Stew with quinoa. Today I added mushrooms and it was so bloody delicious! The main protein was tofu for this one.

Just smashed a nice big Greg’s Porridge. I think I can eat this all day!

    5 minutes meditation with Headspace.

A salad (green stuff, quinoa, tomato, cucumber, avocado, hemp seeds, 120g tempeh).

Then decided to bake some potatoes (6), carrots and zucchini. Ate them all in one go (super full).

    More of Greg’s Porridge.

    A protein shake.

    Lots of water.

No exercise, just work. Not much movement today either (think I can feel the growth haha).

Finished the day with a quick meditation before midnight before bed.

  • Day 14 of the 4 Hour Body

Day 14 of the 4 Hour Body

Well today marks the half way mark of my 4 Hour Body experiment. At the end of the day I’ll add a summary of my experience so far.

Another groundhog day for me. Wake up and do my Daily Morning Routine (today I also will move my meditation until the evening for bed).

Protein shake, followed by a nice big Greg’s Porridge.

During the day I ate Greg’s Veggie Stew, two lots of stove top espressos (with a dabble Bonsoy soy milk), a handful of almonds and 3 brazil nuts.

Then went to St Kilda West to go kite surfing for an hour. Was pretty fun despite the wind dropping and my quick release catching my board (I need to change this piece of shit), thus releasing and my kite almost getting destroyed on a sewage outlet.

Took the waterproof dressing off my leg this evening. It’s looking pretty good and can’t believe after 7 days and a session in the ocean the waterproof dressing held strong!

Got home and smashed a big protein shake, then Greg’s Veggie Stew again. Finally a bit bowl of Greg’s Porridge to top the day off.

Strangely I feel like eating more! Looking forward to Workout B. I’m going to burn burn burn and feel the growth!!

So, a quick summary of the last two weeks:

    • All I do is eat and shit all day
    • Only training twice a week has given me so much more time, if only the wind was up all the time I’ll put those energies into that (although I know I’m not supposed to)
    • When I started this experiment my weekly average weight was 72.7kg.
    • The following week my average weight moved up to 74.5kg
    • And this current week (which is still going) my average weight today is 75.7kg
    • That is an average gain of 3kg and the halfway mark. My goal was 4kg in 4 weeks, so not doing too bad so far.
    • The next two weeks will be shitloads of food and training until I almost puke (for some reason this happens for Workout B, but not Workout A)

At the end of 28 days I’ll do another DEXA scan and also I plan to do at least a 24 hour water fast, or maybe longer, to give my digestive system a break and help my body do some repairing. Then I’ll get back into intermittent fasting and training 4-5 days a week, although I might throw some kettlebell swing sessions into my workout as well for good measure.

    Fitbit Aria Scales Daily Data:

    • Morning Pre-Poo weight: 75.9kg (I actually was in a rush to go to the toilet so didn’t save the Pre-Poo weight, but judging by the efforts (700g is a
    • Morning Post-Poo weight: 75.2kg
    • Bedtime weight: 77.1kg (I did take a pre-pee measurement before this and came in at 77.5kg woohoo)
  • Day 13 of the 4 Hour Body

Day 13 of the 4 Hour Body

Did a little binge watching of a TV show last night so decided to switch up my Daily Morning Routine. Moved my meditation until the evening for bed.

Today was another eating mission. A protein shake, Greg’s Porridge, Greg’s Salad, a protein shake, Greg’s Veggie Stew followed by a final Greg’s Porridge.

To say I am full is an understatement. This isn’t the most pleasant way to put on weight!

I spent two hours down St Kilda West waiting for the wind to pick back up so I could go kiteboarding. No joy. Three days in a row now I’ve been to the beach and didn’t even get wet. At least today I pumped my kite up, but that was it.

After getting home I decided I needed to exercise (not really a fan of this 2 days a week thing). Went to the park to do Workout A with 2 days break from Workout B. Think I will start 3 days between trainings this week, so next workout will be Friday.

    Fun, fun, fun!

    Fitbit Aria Scales Daily Data:

    • Morning Pre-Poo weight: 75.8kg

Day 12 of the 4 Hour Body

Had a good 9 and a half hours sleep last night. Love it!

Usual day, wake up, Daily Morning Routine, protein shake, porridge, then went to Terra Madre to buy some goodies.

Then went to St Kilda West for almost 3 hours waiting for the wind to stay consistent enough for me to head out. Ended up saving an Italian guy “Sam” from blowing away after I launched his kite and the wind picked up like crazy. Was a close call.

Got home, made Greg’s Salad with wild rice and quinoa. Then I’ve put a nice fresh pot of Greg’s Veggie Stew on the stove, which I’ll eat in a bit. I also put another Greg’s Porridge together to each in a couple of hours.

I should also put some more quinoa into some water to sprout before cooking tomorrow night.

A little protein shake before bed to top the day off.
